DCON 2026 Elections
Overview:
The Southwest District Board consists of the Governor, Secretary, and Treasurer as the Executive Officers and 18 Lieutenant Governors representing each division in our Southwest District. The candidates for each of these positions campaign at District Convention* and elections are held.

Lieutenant Governor (LtG) candidates campaign to their division during caucusing. Each division will elect their LtG by the end caucusing Friday evening.

Executive Officer candidates campaign to each division during caucusing **, during the Kiwanis Family Luncheon, and in House of Delegates. Elections are held during House of Delegates.

Candidates for International Endorsement will seek endorsement in the same manner as those running for Executive Office. **

The election process consists of several steps. The Candidate Forms and Election Information booklet will provide the full details for each step. Make sure you thoroughly read everything and keep an eye out for those deadlines.

Application (your intent to run):
DUE: on or before Feb 27, prior to Pre-Convention Candidate's meeting

Pre-Convention Candidate Meeting (online):
DATE: Mar 1, 2026, 6-7 PM
An online meeting link will be emailed to candidates using the email in the application.
Reach out to your LtG or Zone Administration with any questions about the process and responsibilities.
Paperwork (completed candidate forms):
DUE: on or before Apr 1.
DCON starts Apr 10 and our board needs time to prepare some the information for distribution to the attendees
